Welcome to the 716 Signals Kompanie.

We are a Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma based  reenacting unit. We portray the 2nd Company of the Signals (Nachrichten) Headquarters Battalion (Abteilung)  of the 716th Infantry Division.  (II/Nachr. Abt. 716) This is the radio company.

Our goal is to provide a complete radio communications solution for reenacting events. Eventually we plan to branch out to include telephones and runners. We have multiple radios and will loan up to 3 backpack radios to units without radio communications.

Greetings from Southern Russia 720

The 716th  was raised in 1941 as an occupation unit. It was largely comprised of older WWI veterans and this suits the current makeup of the unit. As the war went on, the unit was supplemented with very young recruits and those unfit for service in front line units. This is about as plain and ordinary a Heer unit as we can get. The 716th was stationed in the Normandy area up to and including the D-Day invasion. The 716th defended Pegasus Bridge, the Merville Battery, and Omaha, Sword, Gold and Juno beaches. We have more information on the history pages.

Brad BlondetAs you can see from the pictures, we can portray any Heer unit. These pictures show us as part of the 24th Panzer Division.
